We're sorry to see you go. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, you may do so directly within The Lighthouse app.
How to Delete Your Account
- Open The Lighthouse app on your device.
- Navigate to your Profile.
- Tap Edit Profile.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm the permanent deletion of your data.
What Gets Deleted
When you confirm deletion, the following personal data is permanently removed from our active application databases:
- Account registration details (name, email).
- Your user profile and associated settings.
- Phone number and SMS consent status.
- Full history of prayer sessions and watch commitments.
- Personal prayer requests, chat messages, or community content you contributed.
Data Retention
When you delete your account, we permanently remove your personal profile, account registration details, and associated history from our active application databases.
Please be aware:
- Third-Party Services: Some communication logs (such as records of emails sent via Resend or SMS sent via Twilio) are processed by third-party service providers. These providers may retain their own logs for a limited period in accordance with their respective privacy policies and compliance requirements.
- Backups & Logs: While we remove your data from our active systems, certain system-level logs or administrative backups containing residual information may persist for a limited time due to technical infrastructure processes or security requirements.
We do not use your data for any purpose after a deletion request is processed.
